About

The Art Academy is a true "dinosaur" of architecture, made in the neo-Gothic style with a noticeable eclectic twist. It's amazing that the building's age has long surpassed a hundred years, while the Academy itself moved in much later.

The educational institution with an artistic focus enjoys great popularity not only among its students but also among tourists. The latter eagerly take photos against the backdrop of the ancient construction, which has preserved the features of a past era in the smallest details of its architectural appearance. On the territory of the Art Academy, one can encounter a statue of the famous Latvian artist Janis Rozentāls and a monument dedicated to the poet Janis Rainis.
