St. Peter's Church is located in the Old Town near the Town Hall Square, which is very close to the banks of the turbulent Daugava River.
St. Peter's Church holds a special place in the hearts of Riga's residents. Grand church services, concerts, art exhibitions, and a couple of viewing platforms at a height of 124 meters - all this creates a unique cultural image, crowned by a golden rooster weathervane.
Perhaps, the townsfolk are not as proud of the church's historical past as they are of its seemingly nondescript and minor detail - the figure of a rooster on the spire. Throughout the building's existence, the weathervane has been changed seven times, and the "predecessors" of the proud bird broke, fell, and just disappeared under mysterious circumstances. St. Peter's Church is located in the Old Town near the Town Hall Square, which is very close to the banks of the turbulent Daugava. Tourists can visit the attraction on any day of the week except Monday.

Must to see place in old town. Great views over the Riga from the tower. Great iconic architecture.
August 2025 Concert days! You must attend if you are in Riga🩷
Really good view from the top. A must-see for all tourists. Amazing views of Riga especially at sunset. Worth the €9 for the view alone.
