About
The Yakovlev Barracks (Ekaba), having appeared in Riga just a few centuries ago, have been rebuilt more than fifteen times. However, that's not all the building, originally intended to house a military garrison, can boast.
The Ekaba Barracks are considered the longest architectural structure in the capital of Latvia. They are located on Tornya Street and, over their existence, have changed dozens of owners. The premises have housed a school, hosted the Ministry of Defense of the USSR, and even operated a labor exchange. Today, the Yakovlev Barracks are occupied by restaurants, confectioneries, SPA salons, and the ubiquitous souvenir shops.
