About

From the very first day of its foundation, the Small Guild was a direct competitor to the Great Guild, which included the privileged class of merchants. Without a membership in this unique Medieval trade union, a craftsman could hardly dream of daily bread and honest labor.

Incidentally, if you walk past the Small Guild from Meistaru street, you can see the statue of John the Baptist, and near the entrance, there's an inscription praising that very honest labor. The guild building is designed in the English Gothic Revival style with a spacious loggia and a miniature tower that leads out to a garden. The architectural monument can be found at Amatu street, house number five. Today, the Small Guild houses a Craft School and museum, and on holidays, it often resonates with classical music.

Si entra da una porta laterale e si può chiedere in portineria per la visita. Personale molto disponibile e cordiale. Vale la pena visitarla. L'ingresso é a 2€ ma per gruppi di almeno 4 persone (o minimo 8€ a gruppo)

Nice building. Worth to visit. Not open every day. Depends on events that may go on.
