About

Ensnared within ivy thickets, deep within the depths of a red brick tower still bearing the scent of gunpowder and the whizz of cannonballs, lies the Latvian War Museum. This location is quite justified - the powder tower once served as a defensive structure intimately acquainted with war.

The Latvian War Museum can meticulously reconstruct the events of World War I and World War II, offering tangible proof to all visitors. Medals and decorations, weapons and armor, secret documents, and lost dispatches - all are frozen in time across the museum's five floors. Weary of military chronicles and memorable dates, visitors can retreat to a cozy café on the ground floor, and perhaps after a hearty meal, pick up a souvenir from the shop nearby.

This is a very large museum with 5 floors of history. Very glad we came here. There are bathrooms in the lower floor and an elevator if u can't walk up stairs.

Bardzo ciekawa ekspozycja ukazująca wojskowość od czasów historycznych do współczesności i członkostwa Łotwy w NATO. Darmowy wstęp.

Not only the amount of content, but the quality of the content. Especially the modern installations were superb.
