About

The Historic Center of Pisa is filled with a variety of attractions, among which is the Church of Saint Catherine of Alexandria. Once, knights of the Dominican Order kneeled here, humbly waiting for the pastor's sermons. Later, the church became more "open" and started to welcome ordinary Italian citizens, distant from the vows of celibacy and fasting.

The church facade is divided into three tiers, made of gray and white marble. A large Gothic rose occupies the central position. The interior of the Church of Saint Catherine of Alexandria dazzles with luxurious columns and a gold-adorned altar. Here, one can also see ancient sarcophagi and paintings, one of which is especially popular among tourists and is titled "The Triumph of Saint Thomas".

Very simple on the inside, with wooden roof. Someone was playing piano and it was very peaceful.
