About

Clotilde Palaces or, as they are also called, the "Stone Twins for the Princess" are located on Sabadshayto street not far from the Elisabeth Bridge. They appeared here in 1902 by order of Archduchess Clotilde.

The palaces are completely identical to each other and both are made in the Rococo style. This is evidenced by the upward-pointed spires of the towers, elongated windows in carved arches, and numerous bas-reliefs that shed light on the historical heritage of Hungary. Today, only the upper floors of the buildings are residential, while the bottom floors are fully occupied by shops, boutiques, cafes, and the central gallery of Budapest.
