About

The Church of St. Michael with its miniature "forms" is especially revered among the residents of Budapest and loved by tourists visiting the city. The central location of the temple and its exterior, which captivates with its modest beauty, are the reasons for this.

The church was built back in the thirteenth century and has since undergone several destructions as a result of Turkish raids. Having changed its exterior appearance several times, the Catholic shrine has come down to us in the Baroque architectural style. The facade of the building is decorated with sculptures of Christian saints, and inside there is the only altar in Budapest made of pure gold.
