About

Erzsébet Bridge, as if in an ancient Greek myth, is located between Scylla and Charybdis, which, with a Hungarian twist, sound like Buda and Pest. It connects the two banks of the Danube and is one of the four operational bridges in the capital.

The length of this complex architectural structure is 290 meters, and its width is just 24. Despite its miniature size, 54 people competed in the selection process for the right to design the bridge. The competition was won by a German architect, but the Erzsébet Bridge was ultimately built according to the plans of Hungarian masters, who created a true architectural monument of Budapest.
