The Fisherman's Bastion, which appeared in Budapest last century, is made of white limestone and, with its entire look, resembles an ancient castle shrouded in magic. Like much of Hungary's architectural ensembles, the castle is built in the Neo-Gothic style.

Despite its foreboding name, the Fisherman's Bastion has never been subjected to attacks. The bastion's territory is encircled by 140 meters of "lace-like" walls with numerous windows, which could mistakenly be taken for embrasures, and seven towers. In the square of the fisherman's "castle" stands a stone statue of King István, who is seated on a horse. For tourists, the bastion's grounds boast cafes and restaurants, as well as shops selling souvenirs and sweets.

A place that is a must-visit in Budapest. Super place, beautiful square. Everything around is well organized, great views. Many cafes and restaurants around. Very touristy place.👍👍👍 nice👌👌

Pas vraiment quelque chose a visiter, vous pouvez admirer la vue sur la ville, et/ou payer pour monter un peu plus haut sur le mur. Vous pouvez également visiter l'église Notre-Dame de l'Assomption.
