Church of the Holy Trinity in Vilnius
About
Veering off the main tourist route, one can discover numerous monuments, houses, and establishments known mostly to locals - but finding the Holy Trinity Church doesn't require much wandering. Located in the southern part of the Old Town is an active church where services are held in Ukrainian and Belarusian languages, and the architectural ensemble is striking in its variety of styles.
The robust structures feature elements of Gothic style, Baroque, and Classicism, forming a complete complex of buildings with gates and arched passages. Visitors come here to enjoy the atmosphere of the 16th century when the church was just beginning to take shape. History tells us that the bell tower was the first to be built: back in the 14th century, it was erected on the site where local martyrs were executed.

Bramę prowadzącą do cerkwi zaprojektował w 1761 roku jeden z najwybitniejszych architektów wileńskich - Jan Glaubicz.
