About

We paint a picture: Napoleon rides a horse through the streets of Vilnius (known as Vilna at the time), turns onto the main street, and comes to a stop in front of a Catholic church, lamenting the impossibility of relocating it to France. He leaves the building untouched, marveling at its grandeur and beauty.

St. Anne's Church is one of the largest Catholic churches in the world dedicated to this saint: Gothic architecture, stirring stained glass, and artistic ironwork decorating the interior walls.

Reverent Gothic here takes precedence: one wants to respect and fear this church in any weather. Despite being open to the public, regular services are held in strict order, and spiritual concerts are given. Its fame alone is a draw, as some visit Lithuania specifically to see this church, which preserves a unique spirit and the sanctity of church life from years past.
