About

Nearly 700 square meters and unique values collected under one roof - the Surgeon's House represents a museum complex named after the collection of 150 medical instruments found during excavations. The low building is placed under a canopy to maintain the temperature, and the exhibits themselves are located in a pavilion. In addition to the belongings of the first doctors, there are numerous vases, struck coins, statuettes, bronze items, and various mosaics, one of which depicts the singer Orpheus, who according to myths plunged into the depths of Tartarus. The museum is unparalleled worldwide primarily because of the "age" of the relics presented, representing different cultural layers and epochs.
