About

Once the forum of Ancient Rome, the scientific observatory of the University of Milan, and property of renowned Italian dynasties, passed on from the Carampi to the Baldini, and now a unique architectural construct in Piazza Tre Martiri - the Palazzo Brioli palace with its refined classical facade erected back in the seventeenth century, has preserved its vivid terracotta finish and unblemished yellow hues in their original form. A sense of mystery and a mystical aura are lent to the building by the Clock Tower, whose astrological calendar foretells the fate of each of the twelve Zodiac signs, directly linked to the lunar phases and the movement of the sun. The stone walls of the tower are laid according to an ancient "recipe", and its top is complemented by a resounding bell and a symbolic cross.
