About

Five consecutive arches, perfect wooden piles, and breakwaters that once slowed the turbulent flow of the Marecchia River - the Bridge of Emperor Tiberius, whose first stone was laid during the reign of Caesar Augustus, stubbornly stands in its place for 2000 years, enduring the weight of time, numerous tourists, and even cars. Roman engineers created a true architectural wonder, using volcanic ash and lime instead of concrete, but locals believe that Satan himself had a hand in its construction. The bridge mysteriously collapsed, driving Tiberius to rage and leading him to sell his soul to the devil in exchange for help. The devil was successfully deceived, and the bridge gained an incredible durability, which protects it from destruction to this day.

Malerische Kulisse. Es gibt 200m weiter eine Fußgängerbrücke, von der man gut Bilder machen kann

Costruito 2000 anni fa ed è ancora funzionante. Che ingegneri questi romani.
