About

Yauniela Street, like the main "artery" of Riga, stretches from the historic Old Town with its Dome Square to the waterfront along the unusually named 11th of January. Today, the Dome Cathedral is separated from the street by a stone wall to preserve the church's centuries-old burials, shielding them from the perpetual hustle and bustle of the capital.

Yauniela Street is filled with attractions, as befits a true monument to history. However, the main and most popular among tourists are two houses - number 22 and number 25/27. The former was used in the filming of the famous Sherlock Holmes series, and the latter, combining several architectural styles, has appeared in the movie "Seventeen Moments of Spring" numerous times. Nestled close to these "movie stars" are elite restaurants, expensive boutiques, shops, and fashionable apartments.
