Church of Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois in Paris
About
The history of the temple began in the 12th century, preceded by several centuries of the destruction of previous churches. Gradually, the building was completed, and only by the end of the 16th century did it acquire its present appearance. Such an extensive construction period inevitably influenced the church's style, resulting in a quite interesting and impressive blend. Scholars identify four primary styles in the building's architecture: Romanesque, Early Gothic, Flamboyant Gothic, and Renaissance. Surprisingly, this mix has borne fruit, and today the temple is considered one of the most beautiful in Paris.
