Louvre in Paris
About
One of the largest art museums in the world is the Louvre in Paris. It is located on the right bank of the Seine and is housed in the palace of the same name. Initially, a 12th-century fortress was located on the site of the palace, and its ruins can still be seen there.
The museum opened its doors at the end of 1793, during the French Revolution. At that time, the collection consisted of more than 500 paintings! The collection grew significantly during the era of Napoleon.
Today, it holds more than 300,000 exhibits, but only 35,000 are on public display. Among them, one can find Egyptian paintings, Assyrian palace reliefs, and much more.
Over the past several years, the Louvre has been the most visited museum in the world!

The museum is huge be prepared to walk a lot and very crowded, beautiful and mesmerizing artifacts you do need to wait atleast 1hour to get in.
