A wonderful way to familiarize yourself with the history of German transportation in general, and Dresden's in particular, is to visit the Dresden Transport Museum. It opened in the mid-last century, housed in the building of the former historical museum, Johanneum. The exhibits of this quite interesting museum narrate the history of air, rail, water transportation, as well as cars and trams, motorcycles and bicycles, in short, about every type of transport ever invented by humans. Most exhibits are quite old, and special attention should be paid to the extensive collection of motorcycles from the century before last and bicycles of the same age. Here, you can also find the oldest Dresden tram, created way back in 1895!

Eine sehr interessante Ausstellung. Auch die Sonderausstellung "Piraten" hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Preis ist auch fair.
