About

The Panometer is the youngest museum in Dresden. It was opened in 2006. Until then, the building stood as an abandoned mansion for a whole thirty years.

Today, a large-scale panorama is recreated here, narrating about the Baroque era from 1695 to 1760. The creator of the exhibition was the renowned architect Yadigar Azizi, whose genius brought to life such monumental works as "Amazonia," "Everest," and "Ancient Rome in the 4th century."

Currently, any visitor to the "Panometer" can observe Azizi's work from a height of 15 meters on a special platform located on the inner circumference. Special binoculars are available to allow attention to every detail of the panorama.

The exhibition presented is considered private and does not belong to state collections.
