Donostia-San Sebastian

Begin exploring the city from the southwestern part of La Concha Bay. The best views can be seen from the lookout on top of Monte Igueldo. Here you'll find a wonderful amusement park that's conveniently accessible via a funicular from 1912.

On the oceanfront, admire the beauty of the waves at the legendary El Peine del Viento sculpture complex. The two best beaches in San Sebastián are connected by a unique tunnel-art gallery featuring frescoes. Nearby are the park and exhibition complex of the Miramar Palace.

On the eastern side of the bay begins the Old Town. The heart of San Sebastián is Plaza de la Constitución, the site of festivals and major city celebrations. Learn about Basque culture at the San Tarmo Museum. Next to the port are the Maritime Museum and the Aquarium. Take a walk around Urgull Mountain or hike up to the viewing platforms.

San Sebastián is renowned for its magnificent mansions, boulevards, and parks in the Romantic Area. Enjoy strolling along the banks of the Urumea River, set up a photoshoot at the Dona Catalina Bridge, and have dinner at one of the restaurants in the Gros district. If you have time, go surfing at Zurriola Beach or head to Monte Ulia to enjoy the landscapes.
