Córdoba

Try to visit Cordoba during the May Fiesta de Los Patios: the residents of the city decorate their courtyards with flowers and compete for a prestigious prize. One of the most beautiful streets is Calleja de las Flores. You'll capture great photos in the Jewish Quarter La Juderia, entering through the majestic La puerta de Almodóvar. Near the synagogue, you'll find the beautiful courtyard of Casa Andalusi with its fountain. Discover the narrowest street in the city, Calleja Pañuelo. Near the Town Hall, you will find the columns of the Roman temple.

Don't get lost among the columns of the unique hybrid of cathedral and mosque, Mezquita. The grand complex, which dates back to the 8th century, was supplemented with the Main Chapel during the reign of Emperor Charles V. In the evening, stunning photographs of the cathedral can be taken from the Roman Bridge.

Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos has been the residence of the kings of Castile since 1236. The palace is renowned for its magnificent terrace gardens. In the evening, they host spectacular light and music shows called Noches Mágicas en el Alcázar. If you have time, visit the 10th-century Medina Azahara, the fourth UNESCO site in Cordoba.

At one of the Arab cafes, Salon de Té, try the mint tea, baklava, halva, and falafel. The hallmark of Cordoba is the tomato soup, salmorejo.
