About

The Notre-Dame du Sablon Church first appeared in the Middle Ages, becoming over many centuries a true exemplar of Gothic church style. Its unusual patterns, petrified flames, and eternal pillars supporting the vault, earned the Gothic style the rare epithet of "flaming."

The main entrance to the church is adorned with a large rose window, situated above the portal with European architectural touches. Inside the Notre-Dame du Sablon Church, you can find majestic and huge stained glass windows that decorate the tall windows. The medieval "landscape" is further enriched with the coats of arms of the most prominent Brussels families, which adorn certain supporting walls.
