About

The Church of Saint James, located near the center of Brussels, first appeared in the twelfth century. Over the centuries, its appearance has remained unchanged, despite undergoing one major reconstruction.

The architecture of the church includes numerous columns, arches, and vaulted windows adorned with bas-reliefs. It features sturdy timber cladding decorated with angelic images. The Church of Saint James has its own three-story tower, the top of which ends in a slender spire with four neat little towers around it. The interior style of the sanctuary can be described as Neo-Gothic. Among the church's main relics are a brass eagle, cast over ten centuries ago, and frescoes featuring archangels.
