About
The historical center of Brussels covers an area of three square kilometers and is shaped like a pentagon. Today, all that remains of the former fortress wall surrounding the center is the Halle Gate, past which hundreds of tourists pass daily.
The entire area of the historical center is divided into the Lower and Upper Town. Historically, the "lower" part was always inhabited by craftsmen, industrialists, and traders, while the "upper" part housed the aristocracy in their grand palatial and park complexes. At the very heart of the ancient "pentagon" lies the Grand Place with its Cathedral of Saint Michael. Moreover, the historical center is famous for its Royal Palace and park, as well as the infamous "Manneken Pis" statue.

Arnaqueurs.
