About

Flanking the bright floral carpet at Grand Place, the famous guild houses take their stand - each with its own story and unique name. The only thing that has unified these buildings since ancient times is their Flemish Baroque style.

At first glance, it's clear that the houses were built in different times, seemingly huddling and squeezing next to each other. Alcoves, turrets, arches, and pointed peaks are scattered chaotically across the buildings of each guild. The Archer's House seamlessly transitions into the realm of cabinetmakers and coopers, and that, in turn, suddenly becomes a haven for oil producers who adorned the façade with floral and fruit garlands.
