Krasinski Palace in Warsaw
About
The Krasinski Palace, styled in baroque, was once owned by the voivode Jan Krasinski. The facade is elegantly adorned with bas-reliefs depicting the feats of a Roman commander - a creation by a German sculptor who was specially invited for the project. Once, the palace housed an extensive collection of paintings by Rembrandt, Durer, and Rubens, but due to the occupation, the canvases disappeared, and the palace itself was left in ruins. Later, of course, it was restored, but the damage was significant. Now, the building is filled with engravings and manuscripts of the National Polish Library, as its special collections are housed here. Among all the documents, the most significant and precious are the surviving medieval manuscripts.

Ciekawe i urocze miejsce.
