About

UNESCO rightly included this temple in its heritage, as it is the main Catholic sanctuary of Warsaw. It serves as the resting place for Polish presidents and kings, Mazovian princes, and many Polish luminaries, including the writer Henryk Sienkiewicz. The war indeed left its dirty mark on the cathedral in a literal sense - on one of the walls facing the street, even after major reconstruction, there remains a "scar" from tank treads. There is also a miraculous cross here.

This church is worth to visit and must see when in Warsaw - old town, rich in Polish history. Place of burial many important Polish historical figures.
