Scuola San Marco in Venice
About
The Scuola Grande di San Marco is a majestic two-story building adorned with numerous sculptures, slabs, and pilasters. Thanks to the inlays of white, red, and green marble, the color of the walls whimsically changes throughout the day under the varying angles of sunlight. Although the facade itself is somewhat asymmetrical, thanks to the columns with capitals, it fully meets the architectural requirements of the Renaissance period. The interior is decorated with canvases by Italian masters such as Tintoretto and Bellini. The Scuola houses a hospital along with a Medical Library. Unfortunately, only the library is open for tours, and only during the morning hours.
