We went for a 30-minute gondola ride here. Guys who managed the boats/reservations were friendly and we could board a gondola very quickly. But the gondolier was a bit rude, did not really greet us or explained the route and attractions that we passed. He also did not let us take photos if his face would be in the photo. Mixed feelings about this experience.

After reading a recommendation, and walking past many starting places through our stay in Venice, we decided to go for this one! So glad we did. The starting location is spectacular! They have plenty of boats so you don’t have to wait long. We went at 5.30pm at the end of July. The journey through the narrow water ways out onto the Grand Canal to see the Rialto Bridge and back was the most fantastic. All we could wish for. No scams/No over charging like we had been warned from the internet. All gondolas are friendly but not too much!
