Church of the Holy Trinity in Salzburg
About
The ancient Makartplatz square has embraced the Church of the Holy Trinity-a majestic Roman Catholic cathedral, an embodiment of symmetry and lavishness in the Baroque style. From its very foundation, the church received patronage and protection from the state, becoming one of the most popular tourist attractions. The central building with its traditional dome is complemented by two wings, and the interior spaces are decorated with antique frescoes, exquisite reliefs, and paintings that alternate with religious images and sculptures by renowned masters of the past.

I am a fan of the long neglected composer Michael Haydn. He was the organist at this church/seminary. We visited in the middle of the day when the main part of the church was locked but you can sit inside in a small prayer area.
