Ronda

Before visiting the most beautiful city in southern Spain, it's worth choosing a few viewpoints for photo sessions that overlook the canyon and historic streets. The signature sight of Ronda is the New Bridge, which connects the two banks with high cliffs. Along the canyon, it's easy to reach the Old Bridge and the San Miguel Bridge. For the adventurers (children are not allowed), there are routes like Caminito del Rey and the circular Desfiladero del Tajo.

At Casa del Rey Moro, visit the secret well at the bottom of a deep shaft and relax on terraces with stunning views. Attend a flamenco show at Casa Museo don Bosco. Learn about the city's history and admire the Moorish courtyards of the Palacio Mondragón. Appreciate the collection of unusual exhibits at the Museo Lara and the beauty of the 13th-century Arabic baths. Find the tiny Plaza del Gigante with a local history museum, an art gallery, and a wine museum.

Explore the streets of the Old Town: medieval houses with white walls, ancient churches, charming cafes, and shops. Enjoy views of Ronda's historic center from atop the city wall surrounding the southern gates of Almocábar. Relax in the Jardines de Cuenca, a park above the high fortress walls. After viewing the Bullfighting Museum exhibits, walk through the alleys of the northern park Alameda del Tajo to the Paseo de los Ingleses viewpoint.
