About

The Cloth Hall, or Drapers' Hall, is arguably one of the most iconic landmarks of Krakow. Located in the Main Market Square, it was built during the reign of Boleslaw V and has been rebuilt and refashioned many times, but has always remained the city's major trading spot. Today, the two-story Cloth Hall houses numerous stalls and shops, offering high-quality goods. Bargaining is not customary here, however, thanks to the very democratic prices, it's unnecessary. The second floor of the Cloth Hall is occupied by the Exhibition Halls of the National Museum, displaying a variety of art objects. Visiting the Main Market Square without stopping by the Cloth Hall is impossible, as this building has been one of the main architectural structures of Krakow for many years.
