About

The medieval picturesque street of Canonica consists of only 24 houses. Built in the 16th century, they became bearers of stone portals and coats of arms, once replacing the ordinal numbers. Winding at various angles, the alley surprises with ancient architectural forms, palaces, and museums, paved with cobblestones and often deserted. The influence of the past is evident - it was mainly inhabited by university teachers and religious figures. On one of the buildings, which served as the house for the dean, there is even an inscription: "Depart, ye uninitiated!". Wander in the quiet, immersing yourself in the charm of the 16th century, and dine in local cafes.
