Askold's Grave in Kyiv
About
Askold's Grave is part of a park complex located on the slopes of the right bank of the Dnieper River. The name originates from the site where, in the year 882, Prince Oleg killed the previous princes of Kyiv, Askold and Dir. This is also the location of their grave. Following the prince's death, a small wooden chapel was erected over his grave. In 1810, a stone Church of Saint Nicholas was built on its site. A few years later, it was reconstructed and converted into a park pavilion, which was later enhanced with a colonnade. In the 19th century, the area was designated as a cemetery where some of the most notable individuals of Kyiv, including pilot Nesterov and medical professor Mering, were buried.

Write a reviewСогласно преданиям, именно на этом месте захоронен киевский правитель – Аскольд. Когда-то давно здесь было кладбище, где покоились знаменитые киевляне. Однако с приходом советской власти оно было полностью уничтожено. Теперь же на этой территории располагается парк, где можно просто посидеть и отдохнуть в конце напряженного дня. Здесь очень тихо и действительно мало туристов. А еще вершине Аскольдовой могилы стоит храм Святого Николая, посетить который может любой желающий.

Найуютніша та наймиліша церква в Києві на мій субʼєктивний погляд. Навколо дуже гарний та «дикий» парк який дає відчуття спокою.

Відвідали Аскольдову могилу Сьогодні побували на одному з найбільш історичних місць Києва — Аскольдовій могилі. Це місце овіяне легендами та стало символом пам’яті про відважних воїнів. Аскольдова могила відома не лише як місце, пов’язане з князем Аскольдом, а й як символ вшанування загиблих героїв захисників України.
