About

The Palau de la Música Catalana, located in the vibrant Born district, is the most famous concert hall in Barcelona and all of Catalonia. Interestingly, its construction was funded exclusively through donations for the choir without any external financial aid.

Like any other modernist building, the palace features curves and winding lines that prevail over straight ones, as if influenced by Arab and Spanish traditions. The façade of the structure showcases busts of composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Wagner, and Palestrina. The main "highlight" of the Palace of Music is its hall with natural lighting, thanks to the inverted dome of mosaic glass on the roof. The hall can accommodate 2,200 people, who eagerly gather here for frequent concerts, meetings, and events.

行くなら朝早い時間がオススメ。 観光客が少なく、静かな雰囲気でゆったり観られる。
