About

The Cardona Castle is among the key fortresses of Catalonia, which once protected the sovereign land from invasions. Over the years, the castle constantly expanded until it became the largest in all of Barcelona.

Almost a thousand years ago, the Church of San Vicente was built in Cardona, where the remains of local rulers still rest. After World War II, the architectural monument was restored several times, with the most recent "wave" of renovation occurring in the twenty-first century. Today, the castle grounds host a hotel with 106 standard rooms.
