About

The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia is considered the main sacred site of Barcelona, although many mistakenly attribute this honor to the Sagrada Familia. It is dedicated to the martyr Eulalia, whose remains are still preserved in the depths of the temple and are highly revered by pilgrims.

Another treasure of the cathedral is the image of Christ, hidden among 25 chapels and stained glass windows that allow sunlight to filter through. The spire of the central tower, made in the neo-Gothic style, reaches a height of 70 meters, elevating the holy site above the surroundings of Catalonia. Nearly a hundred years ago, the cathedral was recognized as an official Monument of History and Art, attracting thousands of visitors from around the world each month.
