About

You can't consider a city fully explored until you've seen it from a bird's-eye view: Gediminas' Tower is the main observation deck in Vilnius. The extensive panorama of the city is breathtaking even for the locals, not to mention that every tourist is ready to forgo souvenirs and guided tours just to climb this hill. A gentle, yet treacherous path paved with slippery stones leads to the observation deck - alternatively, there is an inexpensive funicular available.

From here, one can view the entire Old Town and modern districts with skyscrapers. Gediminas' Tower is more like a huge grassy hill, so your view won't be obstructed by treetops or shrubbery. At the foothills, you'll find exquisite buildings and the city's riverbank, cathedrals, parks, and the gleam of cobblestone streets - all within sight.

The funicular to Gediminas Hill offers an incredible view! A must-see for anyone visiting Vilnius.
