About

Judecca is an island separated from Venice by a canal. Interestingly, the Giudecca Canal is so wide that huge cruise ships constantly travel through it. Despite such closeness to this amazing city, the island is the complete opposite of it. Here reigns a unique, tranquil atmosphere, so unlike the bustling life in Venice. The modern island features promenades and churches, as well as magnificent nature. Some luxurious villas, built for wealthy merchants, have been preserved here. Moreover, the famous Casanova once lived on the island of Giudecca, and now tourists occasionally visit to see its wonderful gardens. The church of Il Redentore, designed by Andrea Palladio, is also attractive to travelers. It's definitely worth visiting the island in good weather, as it offers a stunning view of Venice.

Ciągle Wenecja, ale ciszej i kameralniej.

Pretty quiet island compared to the main island of Venice. Recommended for peace and quiet lovers.
