About
The true gem of the Mirabell Garden is the Pegasus fountain sculpture, notable for the unusual stance of the ancient horse, standing on two legs rather than four, as is often the case. Cast from pure copper, the sculpture is placed on a stone pedestal in the center of the fountain and is located within the Small Parterre. The stones have long been overgrown with green plants and moss, and the sides of the copper animal have darkened over time, giving it an even more magical and mysterious appearance. It is here that tourists looking to unlock their creative potential draw inspiration and find their muse by experiencing Salzburg's winged wonder.
