About

The tallest structure in the Baltics and claiming "bronze" in the European rankings, the Riga TV tower, stretching up to 368.5 meters, is known by every resident of the capital. And for good reason, as the signal it emits ensures the quality of TV and radio broadcasts for most of the country.

The Riga TV tower, also referred to as the Zakusala Tower, stands as another symbol of Riga, alongside the House of the Blackheads and the monument to the Bremen Town Musicians. Externally, the tower appears as a three-legged structure with a spire that pierces the sky. Two of its "legs" are fitted with high-speed elevators, capable of lifting a person to a height of 100 meters in just about 50 seconds. In front of the TV tower entrance, there's a stone named "Sputnik".
