About

The Ziemelblazma Culture House is located in the north of Riga, and it will take a tourist at least half an hour of driving to get there. Such sacrifices are not in vain-the culture house is a significant monument of Latvian architecture under the protection and guardianship of the state.

Interestingly, the Ziemelblazma Culture House, or more precisely the land under its construction, was a generous gift from the industrialist and well-known patron Dombrovskis to the temperance society. Historians have difficulty explaining the reason for such a gift, leaving us to construct improbable theories, many of which are still popular among the people. The building has suffered a significant fire and is therefore currently undergoing restoration-its former interior appearance and facade are being restored.
