About

The love for comedies and Soviet cinema compelled the people of Kyiv and city authorities to erect a monument to one of the most beloved characters - Prona Prokopovna Serkova and Svirid Petrovich Golokhvastov, characters from the movie "Chasing Two Hares". The sculptural composition found its place at the filming location, near St. Andrew's Church. Besides its cultural value, it is also famed for a variety of omens and legends that have arisen over fifteen years. One omen says that by rubbing the wedding ring on Prona's finger, one can hasten their own marriage. According to another belief, those who pet the beetle on Golokhvastov's back will attract fortune and quickly become wealthy.
