About

Victor Nekrasov once called the fifteenth house on Andriyivskyy Descent Richard the Lionheart's Castle. The reason for this is the British Gothic style in which the building is constructed. Visually, the house resembles an ancient castle. All architectural elements are chosen in such a way as to replicate the structure of castle-fortress constructions as accurately as possible. There are spires, crenelated wall tops, various towers, etc. The building is famous not only for its beauty and grandeur but also for the art figures who lived there at different times - painters F. Krasitsky, I. Makushenko, F. Balavensky. G. P. Dyachenko also lived here, in whose honor a memorial plaque has been installed on the facade of the building.
