Тодішня влада злякалася, "зняла" хрестик, "взула" мандрівного філософа, а Біблію замінила торбинкою. Григорій Сковорода стоїть і дивиться на Києво-Могилянську академію, у якій провів кілька років життя. Студенти Академії щорічно миють пам'ятник на день Академії, що припадає на свято Покрови Пресвятої Богородиці.
