Пам'ятник Григорію Сковороді 1 березня в Києві на Контрактовій площі було відкрито пам'ятник Григорію Сковороді За першим проєктом Сковорода мав бути босим, з хрестиком на шиї і Біблією в руках. Тодішня влада злякалася, "зняла" хрестик, "взула" мандрівного філософа, а Біблію замінила торбинкою. Григорій Сковорода стоїть і дивиться на Києво-Могилянську академію, у якій провів кілька років життя. Студенти Академії щорічно миють пам'ятник на день Академії, що припадає на свято Покрови Пресвятої Богородиці.
