The Girl Playing with a Dog sculpture in Budapest
About
The sculpture "Girl Playing with Dog" is located near the Elisabeth Bridge suspension bridge and is part of the capital's collection of bronze monuments. The monument is considered an unofficial symbol of all the children of Hungary and is closely guarded by the state.
In the evening, the bronze sculpture is often mistaken for a living person due to the striking resemblance and craftsmanship of its creator. The "living" monument composition features a girl sitting on a flowerbed, with a dog opposite her, wagging its tail and holding a rubber ball in its teeth. The sculpture is very popular among tourists, and locals joke that you need to queue up in advance for a commemorative photo.

Brilliant Statue. Looks different from every angle. You will find it along the Danube behind Váci Street.

Nicht zu übersehen. Einfach Mal bestaunen.
