About

The Venetian Towers were built in the image and likeness of the famous San Marco bell tower located in Venice. Silent guardians of Barcelona, they seemingly guard the entrance to the city, sternly gazing at anyone who dares to step onto the once sovereign land with a sword.

In reality, the pair of towers logically concludes the Maria Cristina boulevard and marks the beginning of the international exhibition complex, where numerous thematic and diverse events are constantly held. The "Venetian wonder" emerged thanks to the efforts and creative genius of architect Ramon Reventós, who received clear instructions to complete all work before the exhibition's opening. The height of the towers reaches 47 meters, although visually they appear much larger.

Towers built more recently - in the 20s of the last century that symbolize Venice (an interesting connection between these two cities and two Mediterranean countries in general). The towers themselves do not leave you breathless, but with the whole landscape, especially Monjuik, they look beautiful.
