About

Park Güell was originally conceived as a garden city, but due to its specific location on the map of Barcelona, this idea had to be abandoned. By decision of the city authorities, the park became completely open to visitors, which led to its worldwide fame.

Güell can confidently be called a bastion of Spanish surrealism for its amazing blend of nature and fantasy. Gingerbread houses, animal figures adorned with broken glass and mosaics, fountains, and the famous Hall of a Hundred Columns, which actually has 86 - every detail in the park is in its rightful place, creating a unique collage. Special attention should be given to the bench that follows the curves of the human body and the walkways with columns that strikingly resemble giant bird nests.

Beautiful architecture, gardens and views. Bathrooms and water available inside the park. Mostly accessible for strollers, wheel chairs, etc. I couldn’t find an elevator, but there must be something because there were several wheel chairs and people on crutches. Definitely book your tickets on the park website before arriving. Often sold out at the ticket window.

Un luogo per certi versi magico, sicuramente da vedere durante un soggiorno a Barcellona. Assurdi i prezzi dei biglietti d'ingresso, così come quelli di ogni altra attrazione o museo in quella città
