About

Anker Clock is an absolutely original and unusual creation. It is a ten-meter mechanism that connects two buildings of the Anker Insurance Company. The clock was created in 1911 by the design of Franz Matsch. Every detail of the clock carries its own unique symbol. For instance, the figurine of a child with a butterfly located at the top part of the frame represents life. The clock itself symbolizes the fleeting nature of time. Every day at noon, tourists can enjoy a wonderful fifteen-minute performance, when twelve copper figures, each 2.7 meters tall, pass through the central window. They symbolize the entire history of Austria.

Horloge sublime ! L'animation au changement d'heure est top ! Ça vaut le détour !

Orologio davvero bello: ogni figura ha sopra un cartellino che indica un’ora e ognuna si muove ogni minuto a spingere via la precedente. Merita la visita
